CMS announced today that they will have a Special Election Period (SEP) for people that currently are on COBRA until July 1st, 2014. These folks were not going to be able to switch plans until the next open enrollment (plan start dates of Jan 1st), but now with this SEP they will be able to switch during this time frame.
